Bringing Health and Healing to Bee Cave

“I have the best job in the world!”

Dr. Rhonda Parker explains, “My ‘work’ is to help bring bodies back into balance. I love what I do-find the root cause of a condition and restore the body’s ability to heal those conditions naturally, rather than simply treating symptoms with drugs and surgery.” When a baby sleeps soundly for the first time, a patient has avoided surgery or a patient who has suffered with migraines for years feels relief, Dr. Rhonda is glad she made the decision to pursue Chiropractic Wellness Care. “It is truly a joy to come to work each day.”

“I want everyone to know what I know about the healing power of chiropractic.”

While working as a legal assistant and considering a legal career, Dr. Parker was involved in a near fatal motorcycle accident. Muscle spasms and chronic headaches plagued her after the accident, and she couldn’t sleep lying down. A friend suggested chiropractic care. With nothing to lose Dr. Rhonda agreed. Dr. Rhonda experienced an 80% return to health in just three visits even though her injuries were devastating. She realized that chiropractic wellness was her true calling.

She enrolled in Texas Chiropractic College (TCC) in South Houston. In 2006, she became the first TCC student to ever simultaneously receive a dual major undergraduate degree and Doctorate of Chiropractic. She then opened her first practice in Austin in 2007. In March 2011, Dr. Rhonda settled in Bee Cave and moved her practice. She says “I decided on Bee Cave because it is a wonderful, family-oriented town in the lovely hill country. ”

Dr. Rhonda is National Board Certified, State Board Certified by the State of Texas and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture (FIAMA). She is pursuing a Diplomate in Applied Kinesiology under some of the most respected doctors in the field, including Dr. Evan Mladenoff, Team Doctor for the Kansas City Chiefs. She is certified in the Webster Technique, and is a Member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA), the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK), Chiropractic Society of Texas and the League of Chiropractic Women (LCW).

“I love working here in Bee Cave and I am passionate about providing family wellness care to as many families as I can in Bee Cave, Lakeway and the surrounding areas.”

Dr. Rhonda’s patients range in age from newborn to seniors. Her practice covers those who are desperate for relief from chronic pain to those who seek a wellness-based lifestyle and a better quality of life.

The Bee Cave clinic offers babies and children-not to mention their physically and emotionally exhausted parents-relief from colic, ear infections, allergies, headaches, sinus infections, sleep issues, concentration deficits (ADD/ADHD). “Nothing compares to having a mom trust me with her baby or young child. When I see a colicky baby melt into his mother’s arms and sleep soundly after an adjustment, it brings me to tears. That is a miracle. And I am blessed to see miracles like these every day.” Dr. Parker is currently pursuing post-grad Diplomate studies in pediatrics.

Dr. Parker specializes in working with pregnant moms (both pre- and post-natal) to help them experience easier pregnancies and deliveries, and to optimize their post-partum health. She is certified in the Webster Technique, which can be very successful in correcting a breech baby’s position as the due date nears. She also educates new moms on the importance of having their babies’ spines checked regularly. Dr. Parker loves working with newborns, infants and children of all ages. She believes that giving them a good start in life will help support their nerve systems as they grow and develop.

An athlete since childhood, Dr. Rhonda understands the toll athletics put on young bodies. She says, “The young are just as hard on their bodies as older athletes. I work with all types of competitors-runners, cheerleaders, baseball, soccer and football players-from youth level to high school and college levels and elite athletes. All ages, activity levels and walks of life find relief from pain and find a new, healthier life with chiropractic care.

“Giving back to my community is a passion of mine.”

Dr. Rhonda relishes the opportunity to educate people and challenge their beliefs about traditional healthcare and pre-conceived notions about chiropractic. She is available to speak to any group, church, community, school-with an interest in better overall health. She provides free health care workshops in her office every week. The workshops focus on creating optimal health for every member of the family. She is a member of the Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce, the Lakeway Women in Network, the Bee Cave and Lakeway Inclusive Networking Group, the Lake Travis Labor of Love and she is a life member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

“I try to set a good example with an active lifestyle.”
